Sit Posture in a JRT
I got this question in my HHH group on Facebook:
Â
I'm in a Jack Russell group and I saw this Jack Russell sitting like this. . . I know if they start sitting certain ways it can mean that they're in pain, and I suggested it may be pain to her, but she replied,Â
"No, this is normal for a Jack Russell."Â
Â
Is it?

This brings up one of my favorite topics: NORMAL vs. COMMON

Why the Gut Matters So Much?
Â
Your pet’s gut is not just a digestive tube, it’s an entire ecosystem. Inside live trillions of microorganisms that work together like another organ system. These tiny residents regulate digestion, nutrient absorption, immune balance, detoxification, and even behavior. Through what we call the gut–brain axis, the microbes in the intestines can affect mood and actions.
Â
When the microbiome is diverse and balanced, your pet’s body hums along beautifully. When it’s out of balance — a state we call dysbiosis — we often see ripples through the entire system: skin irritation, chronic ear infections, allergies, diarrhea or constipation, anxiety, autoimmunity, even poor vaccine response or organ stress.Â
